HISTORY
The Bliznakov Prize, established in 1998, is named in honor of the founder of the International Archive of Women in Architecture (IAWA), Milka Bliznakov. The Prize is awarded for research which advances knowledge of women's contributions to architecture and related design fields by using or contributing to the IAWA.
SCOPE AND CONTENT
The collection consists of information about the award and two proposals for the first award in 2000. Claire Bonney's proposal was awarded the first Milka Bliznakov Prize.
PROVENANCE
Milka Bliznakov donated the material in the collection in 2000. This collection is part of the International Archive of Women in Architecture (IAWA) housed in Special Collections at University Libraries, Virginia Tech.
