SCOPE AND CONTENT
The collection consists of Claire Bonney's thesis, Thérèse Bonney: the Architectural Photographs. Thérèse Bonney was a photographer who documented the decorative arts in Paris from the Modern Movement through World War II. Most significant to the IAWA are Thérèse Bonney's records of women architects from 1925-1939. Also included in the collection is an email with a summary of where to find original photographic documentation of European women architects who practiced around 1930 compiled by Claire Bonney. The dissertation was presented to the Faculty of Arts for a doctoral degree in Philosophy from the University of Zurich.
She was awarded the first Milka Bliznakov Prize in 2000. The results of Claire Bonney's research on Adrienne Gorska is available online at http://spec.lib.vt.edu/IAWA/inventories/Gorska/index.html.
