Call to Order:

Chair Donna Dunay called the meeting to order at 2:45 p.m. The October 26, 1999 IAWA Executive Committee minutes were approved unanimously with few corrections.

Items Discussed:

Mitzi Vernon revised the Milka Bliznakov Prize announcement for 2001. Items discussed were adding the web page address to the form and also adding the IAWA logo for letterhead. Mitzi Vernon or Donna Dunay will look into the process of creating an IAWA letterhead with the Tech logo. Hui-Min Tseng is working on a poster to display the names of the three finalists Donna Dunay has sent out the formal letters to all the candidates of the decision made by the panel of judges. Tony Wrenn is putting together comments for the second stage finalist. Response of the finalist is due by April 1, 2000. Subcommittee for the Milka Bliznakov Prize is Marcia Feuerstein, Jeanette Bowker and Tony Wrenn. Their decision will be made April 15, 2000. Donna Dunay will ask Sandy Broughton to write an article on the Milka Bliznakov Prize.

Agenda Items:

Mitzi Vernon announced that the IAWA received a donation from the Ronald and Maxine Linde Foundation.

Discussed future advisors for the nominating committee, to be discussed at next month's meeting.

Discussed content of next newsletter.

Marcia Feuerstein will put together a schedule for the newsletter for next year.

Donna Dunay adjourned meeting at 3:35 p.m. Next meeting will be December 13, 1999 at 9:00 a.m.
