Paul Knox stated that the IAWA has been reassigned from the College to the Department of Architecture. This will in no way reduce the financial support from the College. The College will continue to support the printing costs for the Newsletter and share the costs of the Annual Meeting with the Library. Dean Knox did state that the Dean’s office no longer has the resources to provide secretarial support. Frank Weiner has offered any help for the IAWA programs, including additional GAs and secretarial assistance. Dean Knox added that if the focus of the IAWA changes to include other departments of the College, it may return to becoming a college rather than a department center.

The discussion included questions about the status of the IAWA within the university as both an archive and as a center for research on women in architectural and design. There was also questions from Dean Knox regarding the impact that the IAWA has within the University as a whole and outside the university. IAWA advisors stated that the IAWA is well known within those special areas of research and its renowned is growing.

Donna Dunay adjourned meeting at 5:30 p.m. Minutes taken by Dana Keith and Marcia Feuerstein.
