Richmond, Va., Feb. 9- Virginia's quota of fifty companies of the Virginia Protective Force will be completed with the organization now underway of a company at Blacksburg, Brig. General E.E. Goodwyn, commanding officer of the VPF, said today.
The Virginia force, General Goodwyn explained, is limited to a maximum of fifty companies by equipment now available.
The new company planned for Blacksburg will result in a complete utilization of all armories of the state.
Men are being enlisted for the company at Blacksburg under the direction of Captain Eugene Smith, who will be the commanding officer. Other officers will be First Lieut. M.F. McElrath and Second Lieut. J.C. Love.
