The Blacksburg Christian Church (now the Blacksburg Jewish COmmunity Center) on the bottom and St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church on the top both date from the third decade of the twentieth century and have a similar nave-plan form. Both feature steep gabled roofs, projecting entry vestibules with arched doors, and pointed arch windows.
