These houses were increasingly joined by one-story brick and frame Colonial Revival-style houses like the frame building at 404 Progress Street, seen on the bottom, as well as Tudor Revival- style dwellings like the brick Lucas House #1, on the top, with its divided ornamental front chimney stack, picturesque elevation, and random stone trim. At the same time vernacular two-room houses continued to be built into the period.
