Blacksburg, April 18 -- The Blacksburg police force today received the first patrol car in its history. The automobile -- a new maroon Ford two-door sedan -- was put in use at once by Sergeant C. W. Akers.
Sgt. Akers appeared before the town council two months ago to make the request for a car for the force. The plea was unanimously approved. This town has a two-man force.
