The modern "police call light," which will make possible better and quicker night-time protection for Blacksburg's residents, is now up, Police Chief D. M. Sumner announced today
Chief Sumner pointed out that the light which hangs from the light post in front of the William Preston Hotel can be seen the length of Main Street and College Avenue.
Residents who want a night policeman should call the hotel where the switch is located and the light will be turned on, Mr. Sumner added.
