Planning meeting for new officers

September 17, 2004
noon (12:00) at 419 West in Roanoke. Dr. Danielle Toriskey will be the guest speaker. Danielle got her M.S. and Ph.D. at Virginia Tech and is now on the faculty at JMU. The program topic is "Foods of the Civil war era."

October 15, 2004
Ann Hertzler, charter member of the committee, will be the guest speaker. She will discuss her collection of children's cookbooks. Library Boardroom (6th floor) 1:30 to 3:30 PM

November 19, 2004
419 West in Roanoke (noon). Mary Rapoport will be the guest speaker. Mary is a member of the committee and she works for the National Egg Board.

January 21, 2005
General business meeting. Library Boardroom (6th floor) 1:30 to 3:30 PM

February 18, 2005
Joanne Anderson of Blacksburg will be the guest speaker. Joanne authored a book about restaurants in Virginia and operated a bed and breakfast in Blacksburg. Meeting will be in Library Boardroom (6th floor) 1:30 to 3:30 PM

March 16, 2005 (date to be confirmed)
Day changed from Friday to Wednesday so we can enjoy lunch at Alexander's in downtown Roanoke. The owner will be the guest speaker and will discuss the "slow foods" movement.

April 15, 2005
High tea at the Hotel Roanoke. Chef Raper will present a program on chocolate.

May 20, 2005
Sandy Bosworth, a member of the committee, will present a program on cooking with herbs.

May 13 - 15, 2005
