noon (12:00) at 419 West in Roanoke. Dr. Danielle Toriskey will be the guest speaker. Danielle got her M.S. and Ph.D. at Virginia Tech and is now on the faculty at JMU. The program topic is "Foods of the Civil war era."

Ann Hertzler, charter member of the committee, will be the guest speaker. She will discuss her collection of children's cookbooks. Library Boardroom (6th floor) 1:30 to 3:30 PM

419 West in Roanoke (noon). Mary Rapoport will be the guest speaker. Mary is a member of the committee and she works for the National Egg Board.

Joanne Anderson of Blacksburg will be the guest speaker. Joanne authored a book about restaurants in Virginia and operated a bed and breakfast in Blacksburg. Meeting will be in Library Boardroom (6th floor) 1:30 to 3:30 PM

Day changed from Friday to Wednesday so we can enjoy lunch at Alexander's in downtown Roanoke. The owner will be the guest speaker and will discuss the "slow foods" movement.
