Ms91-046
Zelma Wilson
was born on November 23, 1918 in New York City. She began her higher education at the University of California, Berkley, where she studied for three years.
After receiving her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Southern California, Wilson travelled to France where she spent time at both L'Ecole des Beaux Arts and Fontainbleau School of the Arts.
Wilson spent much of her life in Ojai, California, the site of her own architectural office from 1967-1996. The images at the left display one of her many projects, the Ojai City Hall.
Wilson was honored for her designs throughout her career, garnering five AIA design awards. She died in May of 1996.
