BIOGRAPHY
Carme Pinos was born in Barcelona in 1954, and graduated from the Barcelona School of Architecture in 1979. Some of Pinos' projects include the Llauna Factory-School, the Igualada Cemetery, the Hostalets de Balanya Civic Center, and the Olympic Archery Range-all completed with partner Enric Miralles. In 1994 Pinos was awarded the Plym Distinguished Professor in Architecture by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and taught at the University from 1994-95.
SCOPE AND CONTENT
The Carme Pinos Architectural papers consist of a booklet, published in 1995 to showcase Pinos' work when she was awarded the Plym Distinguished Professorship in Architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1994. The booklet contains pictures of Pinos' work and comments from students and colleagues.
