                            COMMISSION ON FACULTY AFFAIRS

 

                                    March 2, 1990

 

 The meeting was convened in the Newman Library Board Room at 1:00 P.M.

 

 PRESENT:  L.A. Eng, F. Baumgartner, J. Wolfe for E.F. Carlisle, D.A.

           de Wolf, H.M. Kriz, J.D. McAlister, C.E. Polan, A.

           Woodson-Robinson, P. Orcutt (guest).

 

 ABSENT:   H. Doswald, R. Sorensen, J. Duke, J. Hasselmann.

 

 

 I.     AGENDA

        The agenda was adopted.

 

 II.    MINUTES

        The minutes of the February 2, 1990 meeting were approved.

 

 III.   REPORT ON OUTCOME OF RESEARCH ASSIGNMENTS PROCESS FOR 1989-90.

        The annual report from the Provost's Office on the outcome of the

        Research Assignments Process for 1989-90 was received.

 

 IV.    EFFECTS OF ELIMINATING MANDATORY RETIREMENT

        In response to a letter from the National Research Council asking

        for input on issues related to the elimination of mandatory

        retirement in higher education, CFA will seek information from

        Employee Relations.

 

 V.     The meeting was adjourned at 1:35 PM.
