  1.  CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCEMENTS:

      Dr. Wolfe called the meeting to order at 3:06 p.m.

 

  2.  The AGENDA was approved as distributed

 

  3.  The MINUTES of the March 26, 1990 meeting were approved as distributed.

 

  4.  COURSE CRITERIA COMMITTEE REPORT - M. A. Lewis

 

      SECOND READING

      A motion was made and seconded to approve all courses and checklists

      (including CT 4254) from the College of Arts and Sciences and the Col-

      lege of Human Resources (see pages 1 and 2 of the CCC report).

 

 

      FIRST READING

      The courses, checklists, and minors listed on pages 2 through 4 of the

      CCC report were submitted for approval.

 

      A motion was made and seconded to waive the first reading of the pro-

      posed BS degree in Industrial Design.  As indicated in the CCC report,

      the recommendation for approval on first reading is based on the aca-

      demic merit of the proposal and the recognition by the members of the

      CCC that approval is needed to meet SCHEV guidelines.  It should be

      noted that, in compliance with the course/program approval process, the

      CCC recognized that the issues of resources need to support the degree

      need to be resolved.  Subsequently a motion was made and seconded to

      approve the new degree program.

 

  5.  The meeting was adjourned at 3:25 p.m.
