  1.  CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

      Dr. Carlisle called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.

 

  2.  The AGENDA was approved as distributed.

 

  3.  The MINUTES of the February 12, 1990 meeting were approved as distrib-

      uted.

 

  4.  COURSE CRITERIA COMMITTEE REPORT - M. A. Lewis

 

      The report of the Course Criteria Committee was distributed.  A motion

      was made and seconded to approve the second reading of the Agricultural

      Technology courses from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences;

      the Communication Studies course, Computer Science courses, Physics

      courses, and Physics checklist from the College of Arts and Sciences;

      and the Interior Design Option and checklist from the College of Human

      Resources.  (These courses and options are found in the report of the

      Course Criteria Committee).

 

      FIRST READING

 

      The changes in the course descriptions for CS 4004 and CS 4014 were

      submitted for approval.

 

  5.  UNIVERSITY FORUM ON LIBERAL EDUCATION - E. F. Carlisle

 

      Dr. Carlisle indicated that letters had been sent to potential members

      of the University Forum on Liberal Education.

 

  6.  VOICE RESPONSE UNITS - E. W. Carson

 

      Dr. Carson brought the Commission up to date on the status of the com-

      mittee that is exploring the feasibility of implementing telephone ac-

      cess to the registrations system.

 

  7.  The meeting was adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
