Wolfe Dr. Wolfe asked for comments regarding Dr. Carlisle's January 8, 1990, memo to the members of the commission. Dr. White raised a concern about the composition of the committee. He suggested that having only one Assistant/Associate Dean on the committee was not acceptable. He suggested that there should be at least two, both from the larger col- leges, or none. If none, then the Assistant/Associate Dean, as a group, could serve as a resource to the committee. Mr. Kuster indi- cated that there should be more than one student on the committee. Dr. Wolfe briefly reported on the comment made by the Deans at the re- cent administrative retreat. The Deans raised issues both on the com- position of the committee and form of the report. Of importance was whether the expectation was for radical change in the core curriculum or just substantive adjustments to it. 6. The meeting was adjourned at 3:35 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Dennis Hinkle, Secretary NEXT MEETING: FEBRUARY 5, 1990 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. PRESIDENT'S BOARD ROOM
