NEW CORE CURRICULUM UPDATE AND AMENDMENT TO UFLE REPORT Dr. Leon Geyer briefly updated the commission on the core curriculum and offered an amendment to the membership of the core curriculum com- mittee. The amendment would allow the core curriculum committee to add up to three members to areas that the committee membership feels neces- sary for additional expertise. Following much discussion on how the membership of the committee would be selected as well as the terms of office and whether CUS would be given the opportunity to comment on the membership, a motion was made to table the amendment until further dis- cussion in the fall. The vote of the commission was split, 9 - 9, with the Chair casting the deciding vote to table the amendment. 7. OTHER BUSINESS G. Egger made a motion seeking endorsement of awarding of posthumous B.ARCH for Spring 1992 to Robert Allen Winchell. Dr. Purdy seconded. In response to a question, Dr. Egger indicated that the student was scheduled to graduate and the awarding of this posthumous degree was with the full support of the faculty of the College of Archtecture and Urban Studies.
