Indenture made between Bird and Rhoda Smith and William Thompson, for land on the West Fork of Little River in Montgomery County, Virginia.
This Indenture made this third day of March in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred Seven between Bird Smith & Rhoda his wife of the County of Montgomery of the one part & William Thompson of the same County of the other part Henceforth That the said Bird Smith and Rhoda his wife for and in conssideration of the sum of twenty dollars to them in hand paid the receipt thereof they do hereby acknowledge have bargained & sold & by them present do grant Bargain & sell unto these William Thompson one Hundred & Eighty Six Acres of land be the same more or less lying & being in the County of Montgomery on the waters of the West fork of Little River. _____________________ Beginning at a
