1997 Bloomsday Card
by T. E. Kennelly
"Garden of Rememberance," T. E. Kennelly's eighteenth annual Bloomsday Card, was produced in a limited edition of 23 postal cards in celebration of Bloomsday, June 16, the day of Leopold Bloom's odyssey through Dublin in James Joyce's Ulysses. The image is from Gurtenard Wood, Listowel, Co. Kerry.
"--The far East. Lovely sight it must be:...cactuses, flowery meads, snaky lianas...Wonder is it like that....Where was the chap I saw in the picture somewhere? Ah, in the dead sea, floating on his back, reading a book with a parasol open."
