This outstanding collection of photographs, negatives and glass slides documents the story of the Norfolk & Western, the development of railroad technology, and an important part of the history of southwestern Virginia.

These images have been digitized from a set of glass slides that were added to the collection in 1994. Some of the images have been identified, many have not.
