  1. Publicity for Virginia Heritage
    1. Current brochure needs to be updated
    2. VIVA 10 Year Celebration
  2. Future VIVA support for database- VIVA funds to pay to hire someone to produce the following tools for our use:
    1. script to produce a MARC record from EAD
    2. script for producing EAD from MARC
    3. style sheet for printing copies of finding aids in database
    4. clip library for creating entire EAD file in NoteTab (including parser)
  3. Report on University of Virginia's plan for EAD finding aids and the digital library - Bradley Daigle
  4. Institutional Digitization standards - Bob Vay - Bradle Daigle
  5. Report on Jamestown Bibliography originally compiled by Del Moore for the Colonial National Historical Park's Jamestown Assessment Project is now available on the Web at http://spec.lib.vt.edu/viva/Jamestownbibliographyviva.pdf It is a 343 page .pdf with links. Discuss also making it into an .xml document as part of the Va. Heritage Database of finding aids.
  6. Discussion of digitization project "The Struggle for Freedom in Virginia"
    1. Input survey from teachers (K-12 to college/university level) on what would benefit their work
    2. Status - progress towards draft
    3. Support needs
  7. Tour of the the Mary and David Harrison Institute for American History, Literature, and Culture and the Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections Library -Edward Gaynor
