Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room
Special Collections and University Archives in Newman Library is devoted to collecting, preserving, and providing access to primary source materials.

Note about websites and resources: Please be aware that both SCUA and the University Libraries will be going through several major technology changes in the next few weeks. During this time, you may notice that resources are moving to a new "look," are temporarily unavailable, or have broken links. We appreciate your patience while we work through these changes and have an opportunity to make decisions and update resources behind-the-scenes. We apologize that some resources may be interrupted, but our services should not be. We encourage you to contact us if you have questions (specref@vt.edu or 540-231-6308)--we're here to help!

Note about hours: Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) has two changes to our usual hours in May: On Friday, May 10th, we will have a delayed administrative opening due to Commencement events on campus. We will be open from 11am-5pm. On Tuesday, May 14th, the University Libraries, including SCUA, will be closed for a staff day. We will be open on Monday, May 13, and will resume operations on Wednesday, May 15.
