The colors and badge which were utilized by the men of the Second Regiment of Virginia Volunteers were:

Division and Brigade Badges, 7th Corps
National Colors, Virginia VolunteersState Colors, Virginia Volunteers

V.P.I. men were represented, during the Spanish-American War, in many units of the Regular Army and other units of the Volunteer Army, as well as the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.

Details of V.P.I.'s and the Second Virginia Regiment's Spanish-American War service, and the badges and flags of the Seventh Army Corps, may be found in Chapters 27 and 28 of the book The Bugle's Echo by H. D. Temple, which was published in 1996.
